High Museum of Art

The High Museum of Art is one of my favorite museums I have been to thus far. I first went when I was in Seventh or Eighth Grade for a school trip, and I was fascinated by the art on display. However, since it was a school trip, I did not get to look at everything I wanted, so I longed to go back. When I went this year, I got a chance and took the time to read the art piece description and appreciate the art while taking a few pictures. In this post, I will be sharing of few of my favorite photos that I took.

Be on the lookout for more blog posts coming soon. I am currently thinking of some informative and helpful content about college, fashion, maybe beauty that I can provide.

A Perfect Fall Day at the Pumpkin Patch || Southern Belle Farm

I love to go to pumpkin patches in October now. Last year I went to Old Mcditters Farm in Carrollton, GA, but I went to Southern Belle Farm in Mcdonough, Ga. Southern Belle is a beautiful farm that offers different activities each season for you and your family to enjoy. I wanted to go during the fall season this year because I knew they would have their pumpkin patch open, and I needed to get my annual picture by the pumpkins, lol. Other than the pumpkin patch, there were so many activities to do, such as the cow train and jumping pillow for kids and the corn maze and hayrides that adults could enjoy. You need to purchase tickets to ride the rides, but I believe you do not have to pay admission if you only want to go to the pumpkin patch and Farm Market. My siblings and I purchased tickets and did as many activities as we could, and took some pictures, as you see down below.

When I say I had the time of my life there, I did. It was a great way to get into the holidays.

Pose Perfection || Showing Some Photo Shoot Pose Inspiration

Hello, everyone! This year has been a lot. I graduated college recently, and I am still navigating adult life. I wanted to get back into blogging, so I took some time, edited my previous posts to fix them up to my liking, and wrote some new ones. Here's the thing, I pretty much have content, footage, and ideas of how to post everything in the way I want to post them, but I just have not executed those plans. The main reason for this was that much of last year was a struggle, and I ended up procrastinating a lot, but blogger truly brings me joy, and I want to keep this going. I'm seven years in the game, so there is no stopping now.

So I have been trying to find unique and creative places to take photos because I wanted to elevate my content quality. I am on top of a parking garage in the photos I have here and got some fantastic shots. Every picture looks fun and different because I kept trying to come up with new poses to do, and I could do it by just moving around. When I photograph others or even use the self-timer to take pictures of myself, I always try to follow a prompt like pretending to skip around in a field or dance while taking photographs to get creative with my poses. Following a prompt is something that many photographers use to get lovely photos of their clients, and I must admit that it has helped me a lot. Sometimes I pretend that I am talking to someone to get a candid shot or playing hopscotch to get a nice one-action photo. If those don't work, then I suggest breaking out some music and dance while taking pictures. It might sound weird, but it can create some pleasant moments.

By doing both of these techniques, I was able to capture these photos down below.

Hopefully, I was able to provide a little inspiration for you all. Let me know what you and what your go-to pose is.

I'm a College Graduate

By the time this post goes live, I will be a college graduate! I am graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with a minor in Sociology and a Certification in Advertising and Social Diversity. I am excited to see what the future holds as I enter the world of Public Relations. I am also excited to get some time off to focus on my blog and social media content creation. I have not been able to do much since my main focus these past couple of months has been to finish my school work. To mark the end of my college journey, I thought I would post my graduation photos here on my blog. Since my freshman year of high school, I have had my blog, so it's crazy to think of all the growth I have endured while blogging. I will continue to write for my blog and put out content that I love and would want to share, but as for right now, I plan to celebrate with the class of 2021. Congratulations to all the graduates!

Last Minute Gift Guide

*This post is not sponsored. All opinions and recommendations are my own. I linked all products in the titles down below.*

With Christmas around the corner this coming Friday, it can be hard to find a gift to give. I was in the exact situation where I was trying to find out what gifts to get everybody because when I asked everybody what they wanted, they did not give me an answer. So I took to the internet to find some inspiration, and I have compiled a last-minute gift guide for anyone that needs it.

The first thing I found was a Frigidaire Portable Retro 6-can Mini-Fridge. I got something similar to this for my little cousin because I thought it would be a cool gift for her to store soda cans, water bottles, and small snacks in the comfort of her room.

The Amazon Fire TV stick is an excellent gift for any binge-watcher out there. This product allows you to hook the fire stick up to your TV, and you're able to have applications like Netflix on your TV. Some People usually have a game console or a smart TV to access applications like Netflix and so on the TV, but an Amazon Fire stick does the job if you don't have one.

I then saw this Crosley Cruiser Deluxe Stereo Turntable Black, and I thought it would be great for any music lover in your life. I have to admit I do want one.

The Keurig K-Mini Single-Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker is an excellent gift for any coffee lover. I had the chance to try one out, and I must say it is impressive.

I wanted to include the Fiji Instax Mini 7+ camera. This product allows you to take polaroid pictures and capture the essence of a moment. Plus, they come in cool colors.

I would highly recommend a Nutribullet to anyone who likes to makes smoothies or sauces. I have a Nutribullet myself, and it is one of the best kitchen products that I own.

Next, I could not resist putting this on the list, but a Care Bears Plush Doll would be a fantastic gift for any child. I used to have one when I was younger, and they were just so amazing to have.

I saw this Mini Surprise Ball at Target, and I thought it was interesting. This surprise ball contains little candies and trinkets that would be a  good gift that you can put in a Christmas gift bag to a friend, mostly if it was very last minute.

The Dash Mini Waffle Maker would be the perfect gift for anyone. I mean, who doesn't like waffles?

Finally, I saw that they came out with a new version of Monopoly called cheaters Edition, which might be an enjoyable game for the family. A perfect game to stir the pot a little.

So that is all for my last-minute gift guide. I tried to keep the items very gender-neutral for any guy or girl in your life, and I think the products I chose are pretty fair.

This guide is the first-ever gift guide I have ever done, so I'm still trying to get the hang of it. Hopefully, as time goes on, I'll get more experience, and I will give you guys a better roundup of gifts that you can give out for the holiday season or birthdays or else.

Happy Holidays.

A Perfect Fall Day at the Pumpkin Patch || Old Mcditters Farm

One thing I wanted to do this year was to go to a pumpkin patch. The last time I have been to a pumpkin patch was when I was in the 8th grade. I remember the thoughts of walking through the farms' trail and seeing all the pumpkins, so I wanted to relive the same experience again. A few weeks ago, I found a pumpkin patch on Instagram in Georgia, and I decided to take a trip there.

The farm I went to was quite large, with enough space for people to roam around while also social distancing, which was one of my concerns because I wanted to enjoy myself while also being safe. I also made sure to wear my mask for better protection. I only took my mask off when I was far away from other people while taking pictures.

Upon entry, the first thing you can look at is the animals. There were so many, from llamas, donkeys, and roosters to goats and pigs. I could not feed them because that would have cost extra, but I talked to them and took pictures. After the animals, you were free to do what you wanted, so we, my friend and I went through the corn maze and on a tractor-trailer ride.

While we were there we had to take some pictures. There was a huge flower field on the farm which made the perfect background for pictures. I was hesitant at first because there were a lot of bees swarming around but I was to get a few. Afterwards, there was also a small patch of pumpkins where you can take pictures as well. Unfortaly I did not buy one but it felt fun to be a kid again and look at all the pumpkins.

With all that has happened in 2020, this year's festivities might be a little different, but it's the little things that matter. Heading out to the pumpkin patch was a fun activity to engage in and ultimately get me out of my room for a few hours.

22 Things I Learned At 22

It's been a while since I have blogged. Since quarantine, I decided to take some time off from blogging and social media to focus on myself and my school work but I really missed writing and posting. I did however take a few shots of some outfits that I plan to post soon.

Also during my break, I have embarked on my senior year of college and I turned 22. I wanted to post the pictures that I took on my birthday but decided to live in the moment and post later. So since it's still September and Virgo season I wanted to share 22 things that I learned at 22.

1.) You do not need to know your major right when you enter college
I thought I had to have it all figure out my freshman year but I did not have my definite major and minor until the end of my sophomore year.

2.) Sometimes you and your friends grow apart
People grow apart and that's ok. All you can do is be grateful for the memories you had with them.

3.) Learning to budget is very helpful once in college
While in college there will be restaurants and activities around that will have you spending money. It's best to budget your money for the week, month, and/or year to make sure you have enough.

4.) It's ok to take time for yourself
I find that it's best to be able to take time to relax and recuperate. By doing so you can hit that refresh button and carry on with the rest of your day.

5.) There are coupons for everything
I just recently found out that CVS, Food Depot, and Kroger have coupons. Game changer!

6.) Take risks especially while you are young
People have always said that your 20's are the best time to take risks because you can get back up quickly if you fail versus when you are older.

7.) Self-care is everything
Taking time to practice my self-care routine has been a great way to get over a long and stressful day for me. I urge everyone I know to do the same if things get a little too tense.

8.) Get involved at your school and in your community
Getting involved is a great way to make friends. In fact, I met some of my closes friends by being involved in student organizations on campus.

9.) VOTE
The first time I voted was very impactful for me. Knowing that I had a say who I wanted to be elected into office made me want to advocate to get other people to vote.

10.) Appreciate the people you have around you
Like I said above, sometimes people grow apart so you really fo have to appreciate the time you have with them while they are still there.

11.) The is nothing wrong with unleashing your inner child
I find that there is nothing wrong with watching cartoons or playing arcade games. Adulting is hard enough as is so I find that it's good to live out some of the things that made you happy when you were younger.

12.) Take care of your health
Not just your physical health but your mental and emotional health.

13.) Make your room your safe haven
Your room is essentially where you relax and sleep, so I have always made my room a place where I feel comfortable and can take time to relax and enjoy myself.

14.) Explore your town
I swear every time I go for a drive I discover a new store or restaurant. Takes some time to explore your college town and/or the town you live in. You might find some hidden gems.

15.) Invest in your passion
If you believe in your passion so much then invest in the time and equipment it takes to make your passion thrive.

16.) It's ok to stand up for yourself
I had to learn to stop letting things slide. If I feel uncomfortable or if I felt like someone offended me there is nothing wrong with letting them know your boundaries.

17.) Trying new things helps open new horizons
Trying new things opens doors to new activities you may like to do and even a new career path you might like to embark on. You may never know!

18.) When in a new town eat locally
I always try to do this because it gives you the chance to try out new food in the area that you are visiting.

19.) Taking spontaneous trips make the best memories
Late-night trips to the store will always be my favorite!

20.) Plan things out ahead of time
It makes everything easier.

21.) Study ahead of time
Self-explanatory.

22.) Do what makes you happy
At the end of the day, the only person that is in charge of your happiness is yourself to do the things that make you happy.

60 Things To Do When You're Bored At Home

Do you all know the Tik Tok where it goes, "I'm bored in the house, I'm in the house bored" yeah, well, that is me, my family, and all my friends right now?
In all seriousness, the Coronavirus is hitting hard. As the number of cases continues to grow, I am doing my part by staying indoors not to contact the virus to spread it to others potentially. Hopefully, things get better soon; however, being indoors presented challenges.
By practicing social distancing and staying indoors, I keep myself busy and not waste time by being productive as much as possible. I thought it would be perfect for catching on to some social media things, school work, learn a new skill, anything.
If you need some inspiration on what to do, I came up with a list of 60 things you could do below.

57.) Upcycle your old clothes
58.) Delete your old pictures from your camera roll
59.) Play with your pets
60.) Spread some love during this difficult time.

Stay informed during this time and don't spend too much time watching the news every day. As it is crucial to stay informed on new rules about your area, your mental health is essential. Watching the news makes you feel uneasy; take a break from watching the news and work on other things.
Feel free to send to list to anyone who needs ideas of what to do. I know I will be forwarding this to at least three people.

Afternoon Photoshoot Part 2 || TheCandidMara

In my last post (Afternoon photoshoot), I showcased some of my photography work from a photoshoot my friends, and I did a while back. As I got some really good shots of them, they got some good shots of me as well. My outfit was more casual as I wasn't expecting to take a lot of pictures that day, but with that being said, I am in love with the photos we took.

That is all for now. I wanted to keep this post short and sweet just to show off the photos my friends took.

Right now, I am on Christmas break, and for the time being, I don't have to worry about school work, so I plan to work on some blog posts to keep me busy, so stay tuned!
